Below is the official WorldSBK press release announcing the new calendar.
Here are also the statements of Andrea Albani, managing director MWC and Giammaria Manghi, Head of the political secretariat of the Presidency of the Emilia-Romagna Region
The calendar of the 2025 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship has been officially revealed, featuring 12 rounds on some of the most iconic circuits in the world.
Following the traditional official pre-season test on 17-18 February at Phillip Island, the season will kick off at the Australian circuit on 21-23 February. The calendar features classic circuits, plus the exciting debut of the Hungarian Round at Balaton Park in July.
The FIM Women’s Circuit Racing (WorldWCR) World Championship will take on new opportunities in 2025 with its second edition starting at TT Circuit Assen. Balaton Park Circuit and Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours will also be new additions to the six-event WorldWCR calendar.
Quotes regarding the Emilia-Romagna Round, scheduled to take place at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from 13-15 June 2025:
Andrea Albani: “Next June we will blow out 34 candles. SBK has a privileged home at MWC, we are among the three circuits in the world with the most races hosted and this splendid event is part of our history.
This year we had a fantastic edition, with over 75 thousand spectators and the signing of an agreement for the next five years. The Emilia-Romagna region is playing a decisive role and we are grateful to them. On our part, we are committed to always doing better, so that the days of entertainment on the track also have that side dish of popular enthusiasm that the derivative world championship deserves, organizing experiences that involve the MWC Square with the leading companies and guaranteeing services that are always excellent”.
Giammaria Manghi: “The Emilia-Romagna Round of WorldSBK will also be one of the most important events in the Sport Valley calendar supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region next year, and in particular with regard to motorsport in our Region, which is the most important Motor Valley in the World. SBK is at home in Misano, where every year it gathers fans from all over the world and offers a high-profile sporting spectacle. The date is also strategic because it allows tourism operators to open the summer season with an event that aims to attract an even greater number of spectators than the one achieved in 2024. The Emilia-Romagna Region will also be alongside the Marco Simoncelli racetrack in Misano Adriatico in 2025, not only for Superbike, but also for MotoGP and other initiatives related to the world of motors”.
