Thursday the Solidarity Pit Walk and the Red Bull Riders Night in Riccione
A massive traffic plan is ready again this year with dedicated routes, parking and shuttles
The MWC Padel Arena is open for people in the paddock
Misano World Circuit, 4 September 2024 – The week of the Red Bull Grand Prix of San Marino and the Riviera di Rimini is getting into full swing, the first of two events that the Misano World Circuit will host before the long overseas interlude and the grand finale in Valencia in mid-November.
The doors of the circuit named after Marco Simoncelli will open tomorrow for the FIM Enel MotoE World Championship tests, which will have its seasonal epilogue right here in Misano.
The Misano World Circuit track is ready to await the riders with the colors of #RideOnColor, the color marketing project that has made MWC and Riders’ Land recognizable around the world with the unmistakable textures in the over 20,000 square meters of escape routes. The project, developed together with the designer Aldo Drudi, was awarded last June with the Compasso d’Oro ADI 2024 in the ‘Research for Business’ category.
TOMORROW THE SOLIDARITY PIT WALK
The traditional Solidarity Pit Walk is scheduled for tomorrow at 5:00 pm and will involve four non-profit associations in the area. Thirty-five disabled girls and boys, together with their companions, will have the opportunity to visit the pit lane, admire the bikes in the garage and chat with the team managers.
THE RIDERS’ LAND EXPERIENCE: TODAY THE BASKETBALL CHALLENGES IN SAN MARINO
The program of events in the area scheduled for The Riders’ Land Experience is also getting underway, opened last Saturday with the inauguration, in Rimini, of the exhibition The stars on the track, curated by the Nuovo Moto Club Renzo Pasolini, open until September 8 in Piazzale Fellini and dedicated to the riders representing the motorcycle club, 8 riders who compete in various world championships.
Today, in the Cava degli Umbri in San Marino, from 3:30 pm the San Marino GP Basket Race is scheduled, a 3×3 mini basketball tournament, which will see the winning team challenge the riders in a free throw competition at 5:30 pm.
Tomorrow evening, instead, it will be the turn of Red Bull Riders Night in Riccione, a breathtaking show of wheelies on two wheels with extraordinary evolutions. Starting at 8:00 pm, the village will be animated by DJ sets and musical entertainment throughout the evening. Closing at 24.
TRAFFIC PLAN CONFIRMED TO FACILITATE THE ARRIVAL AND EXIT OF THE PUBLIC
Confirmation for the traffic plan that will facilitate the arrival and exit of the public from the circuit during the three days, drawn up by the working group coordinated by the Prefecture of Rimini with the involvement of the interested bodies and Police Forces.
Three access areas have been identified, connected to certain tickets and reachable via routes identified by different colors: red, for holders of tickets for Tribuna A-B-C-D- D TOP, Tribuna Misanino, Tribuna Carro, Tribuna Centrale, Paddock – Hospitality Pass Parking; yellow, for access to the Brutapela and Brutapela Gold stands; green for Prato 1 and Prato 2 tickets.
Signage installed in the municipalities of Misano, Riccione and Cattolica will accompany people heading to the racetrack with indications of the colored routes to follow to reach the access areas, parking lots, disabled parking areas and the ticket offices.
In anticipation of the significant influx of public, the main access routes to the yellow and green zones have been identified in the area upstream of Misano, in order to streamline traffic flows on the main roads (SS16 and provincial roads). The red zone will be accessible primarily from the SS16. For those arriving from the A14 motorway, the Riccione exit is recommended for the yellow and green routes, while for the red route the indicated exit is Cattolica.
The flow will be facilitated by using inland roads in the municipalities of San Clemente, Morciano, San Giovanni in Marignano and Coriano. Each area adjacent to the circuit will correspond to a specific route, identified by specially positioned vertical signs that will allow easy access to the motorway toll booths of Riccione, Rimini and Cattolica.
The areas surrounding the racetrack, as in previous years, will be closed to traffic from Thursday evening, with the exception of residents, law enforcement and parking pass holders.
Over 100 officers from the Highway Police and the Intermunicipal Local Police Corps of the municipalities of Riccione, Misano Adriatico and Coriano will be involved in monitoring the operation of the plan. Stewards will also be present along the roads to provide assistance and information.
PARKING AND SHUTTLES
In the three access areas to the circuit, numerous and large free parking lots will be available for the three days of the event.
From Friday to Sunday, from 8:00 to 17:30, tourist trains will be available that will connect the seaside area of Misano with the red zone (paddock and grandstands), departing from Misano Centro (Piazza della Repubblica corner of Via Dante) and Misano Brasile (Stop 1bis, corner of Via Alberello and Via della Stazione).
