STATEMENTS

Andrea Abodi, Minister for Sport and Youth: “Motorcycling is an incredibly fascinating sport and I can only be proud to see Italian riders and manufacturers at the top of this discipline. Attending the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli has allowed me, once again, to verify the commitment and passion that the Italian Motorcycling Federation, its President Giovanni Copioli and all the professionals promote to spread the values of Italianness and the healthiest principles of sport, with a particular focus on young people and their human and professional growth”.

Andrea Corsini, Councilor for Tourism of the Emilia – Romagna Region: “We can only be satisfied to have hosted, after only two weeks, the second Grand Prix here in Misano, also named after Emilia – Romagna. It is a difficult time for our Region: the flood puts us in the position of dedicating all our efforts to the restoration of the flooded areas and to be close to the people who are suffering, first and foremost, the volunteers, the police, the Civil Protection, our mayors and all those who are working day and night.
The positive news is certainly the fact that there are no victims. These major events give the signal that we are a Region that reacts and that is able to promptly do what is needed to give support to the flooded populations and to those in great difficulty”.

Andrea Albani, managing director MWC: “With the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix we completed three intense and exciting weeks with over 300 thousand guests on the circuit, with the two editions of the MotoGP and the Italian Bike Festival.
The last week has been truly difficult from many points of view. The satisfaction for the public result, the pain for the passing of Luca Salvadori and the thought for that part of Romagna that was hit hard by the bad weather coexist. To all of them, closeness and solidarity. We are a strong people and with the dignity that distinguishes us we will rise again. Forza Misano and Forza Romagna”.
