Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO Dorna Sports

We are very happy to announce that we have reached an agreement to organize the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in Misano. The track is one of the classics of the calendar and offers a fantastic spectacle in one of the capitals of this sport, where the passion for MotoGP is legendary. Racing in Misano at the end of September is a logical choice. We aim to create the most efficient calendar possible and this event perfectly follows this philosophy, allowing us to minimize the extra kilometers that we would otherwise have had to plan before our events in Asia. We thank Misano and Emilia-Romagna for welcoming us for this event. We look forward to coming to you to enjoy this double date with the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini and Emilia-Romagna Grands Prix.

Andrea Corsini, Councilor for Tourism, Emilia-Romagna Region

“It is a source of great pride to have closed the agreement that brings MotoGp to double in Emilia-Romagna, with a second Grand Prix at the ‘Simoncelli’ in Misano Adriatico. An agreement reached above all thanks to the role and commitment that, as a Region, we have put in place. Thanks therefore to the organizers of Dorna Sport. We are the only ones at an international level to host two MotoGP events, another confirmation of the extraordinary prestige enjoyed by our Motor Valley, and it was incredible to have once again registered at the table with all the interlocutors the appreciation that this land enjoys and that in recent years has allowed us to be able to have highly prestigious sporting events, which have become a formidable driving force for tourist attractiveness and the enhancement of our beauties and excellences. This is demonstrated by the data on arrivals and presences of visitors from Italy and abroad and the fact that the goal we had set ourselves of bringing the tourism sector to 16% of the regional GDP has now been exceeded”.

Jamil Sadegholvaad President of Visit Romagna

2024 confirms itself as an exceptional year of great sport, which will be remembered for the series of events of international and global importance that our territory has been able to host and manage, with the consequences in terms of opportunities to promote the territory and of induced for the tourism sector. Being able to turn on the powerful spotlights of the MotoGP on the Misano circuit for a second time in the month of September is a further opportunity to consolidate the attractiveness of Romagna in particular in the eyes of the foreign markets of reference, which today represent an increasingly decisive basin for the growth of our hospitality economy. A result not the result of chance, but once again of effective networking conducted in synergy by public and private promoters and partners.

Fabrizio Piccioni, Mayor of Misano Adriatico

Two MotoGP Grand Prix in fifteen days are a very powerful magnet for our hospitality industry and come in a strategic period for our most important economy. We are always ready to seize opportunities useful for the objective, we have worked well and quickly to create all the conditions. I thank the Emilia-Romagna Region, attentive and timely in its support. Thus another pearl is added to the necklace of extraordinary sporting events of this 2024. As Mayor of the city I am happy and I am sure that all together we will be able to win this challenge too.

Giovanni Copioli, President of the FMI

We are truly proud and satisfied that Italy can host another MotoGP Grand Prix. Our country confirms itself as a point of reference for the world series and is ready, once again, to organize a top-level event. The third seasonal event will be held on our territory on the weekend of September 20-22, after the Italian GP at Mugello and the San Marino GP scheduled for Misano between September 6 and 8. I would like to thank the International Motorcycling Federation and Dorna for their trust in the Italian Motorcycling Federation and especially in the Misano World Circuit, a facility with which we collaborate in various ways and for numerous events. I expect great emotions: for the Italian riders it will be another home Grand Prix, and I am convinced that everyone will give their all in what will be an incredible final phase of the season.

Misano World Circuit

We have undertaken – comments Luca Colaiacovo, President of Santa Monica Spa – a path of development of the circuit linked to a vision of global sustainability that in recent years has seen us awarded internationally for environmental sustainability, the quality of the financial statements and a few days ago with the prestigious Compasso d’Oro for the ability to convey a territory with the colors of the track. A corporate quality that allows us to seize opportunities such as that of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, for which I thank the Region and all the institutions that support us, as well as Dorna Sport.

We thought it was already an extraordinary 2024, now we are raising the bar even higher and the possibility of reaching the record milestone of one million visitors in twelve months is looming.

The announced event – adds Andrea Albani, managing director MWC – recognizes the circuit’s ability to respond promptly to every challenge thanks to a passionate and professional team, which makes it possible to win them. A further satisfaction also for that entire system of companies that, gathered at MWC Square, have given us their trust. We are attractive for communication and relationship activities for prestigious brands, it is a decisive element to look to the future with renewed confidence.
