Misano World Circuit, 25 May 2024 – Many people at the Misano World Circuit for the first of the two days of the Rubia Engine Oil Misano Grand Prix Truck, the event that brings together the community of truck drivers and the road haulage supply chain, combining the competitive aspect of the track.
In fact, the only Italian stage of the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship takes place at the “Marco Simoncelli”, which started today from Misano with the first two races.
Tomorrow the program includes two more races, which will start at 1.00pm and 3.55pm respectively, preceded by qualifying in the morning.
Between one race and another, the public can visit the vast commercial area and learn about all the news in the sector at the stands of exhibitors and manufacturers.
PREDICTIONS RESPECTED IN GAME 1
In the first race of the afternoon the podium saw the positions of the last championship confirmed, with the five-time champion and title holder Norbert Kiss (MAN) crossing the finish line first ahead of Jochen Hahn (IVECO) and Sascha Lenz (MAN) .

THE MAMELI HYMN PLAYED BY THE IPSE DIXIE MARCHING BAND
On the grid, before the start of the two afternoon races, the Ipse Dixie Marching Band directed by Luigi Faggi Grigioni performed, who also performed the Mameli Hymn.
SOLD OUT ON THE FIRST DAY OF TEST DRIVE ON THE TRACK
There was great participation in the test drives organized by the media partners of the event Vado e Torno and Trasportare Oggi in collaboration with the most important manufacturers. The possibility of testing the vehicles on the track and on the roads surrounding the circuit confirmed itself as one of the most appreciated ingredients of the event: there were 250 participants who, in the various available time slots, were able to test the 10 vehicles made available by the manufacturers manufacturers DAF, FORD TRUCKS, IVECO, MAN, RENAULT TRUCKS.
The test drives will also continue tomorrow. The tests are open to anyone with a valid C (European) driving licence.

THE DECORATED AND HISTORICAL TRUCKS CATCH THE ATTENTION
What aroused great curiosity were the over 250 decorated trucks that participated in the rally and which animated the paddock with lights and music. Tomorrow, at the end of the event, the vehicles will be the protagonists of a colorful parade on the track.
The 30 historic vehicles on display at MWC Square aroused equal curiosity. The exhibition, curated by the Circolo Italiano Camion Storici “Gino Tassi”, featured vehicles from different eras coming from Marche, Tuscany, Umbria and Emilia – Romagna. Special mention for a 1955 Fiat 640 N which, from Fasano in the province of Brindisi, reached Misano by road.
