Misano World Circuit, 19 April 2024 – The Finetwork FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship 2024 starts from MWC Marco Simoncelli, with the Motor Valley and Emilia-Romagna round, which will offer all the categories included in what is in all respects a championship on the track world championship featuring the champions of the future.
It is a prestigious event, in the wake of the combination between the territory and large international competitions. The Motor Valley and Emilia-Romagna round of JuniorGP follows the Formula E Misano E-Prix by just seven days; then in mid-June it will be the turn of the Emilia-Romagna Round of WorldSBK and in September the MotoGP with the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix. All events which, together with the MWC sports program spread over 20 weekends, highlight the connection between the regional territory and motorsport, with the organizational role of MWC acting as a glue to generate visibility and sporting events that act as an economic spin-off for the hospitality industry.

MWC is the first circuit in Italy to host a round with all classes: JuniorGP, Moto2, European Talent Cup and STK.

The JuniorGP is the precursor to the world championship for many kids and over the weekend we will see several Italians among the protagonists.”

The JuniorGP™ has already been hosted on two occasions in the past in Misano, at the same time as the San Marino GP and the Rivera GP in Rimini, enthralling the public with the spectacular and hard-fought races, with just a few cents deciding the results. Now, JuniorGP™ will make its debut at Marco Simoncelli with a round of its own, adding Italy to Spain and Portugal in 2024.
The calendar includes after MWC the stage at the Estoril circuit in Portugal, the events in Barcelona, again in Portugal in the Algarve and after the summer the final triptych in Spain in Jerez, Aragon and the grand finale in Valencia on 24 November.
At the Motor Valley and Emilia-Romagna Finetwork FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship 2024, 36 riders are registered in JuniorGP, in Moto2 there will be 25 on the grid, in the ETC Europe Talent Cup 45, while 36 young people are registered in the STK Stock European Championship pilots.
Expectation for the young San Marino Gabriel Tesini, involved in the European Talent Cup and driver of the AC Racing team. The Pasini Racing Team will send Mathias Tamburini, Matteo Gabarrini and Luca Agostinelli to the track.
Together with the Motor Valley and Emilia-Romagna Finetwork FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship 2024 races, two other competitions are scheduled.
Aprilia SP – The Italian Junior Speed Championship season begins with the Aprilia SP. There are 17 registered drivers on the track, plus a young Dutchman who has chosen the CIV Junior as fertile ground for his sporting and professional growth. Free practice and qualifying will take place on Friday and Saturday, while the race is scheduled for Sunday at 5pm.
On Sunday, at 10.00, enthusiasts will be able to access the pit lane and immerse themselves in the electrifying atmosphere while closely observing the bikes and riders preparing for the challenges.
Virus Power National Trophy 1000 – Now in its 18th edition, it is organized by the Spoleto Moto Club and has for years represented one of the most prestigious trophies in the Italian racing scene and beyond. Over the seasons it has developed on the most famous circuits in Italy with the presence of riders of the caliber of Lorenzo Lanzi, Eddi La Marra, Roberto Tamburini, Ale Delbianco and Luca Salvadori. For the first time the Virus Power National Trophy will race within the FIM JuniorGP World Championship promising, thanks to the large and talented starting list, an excellent show.
Today at 7.00 pm the official inauguration of the Terranova store will take place inside the Misano World Circuit paddock. A large space of 200 m2 which offers MWC merchandising characterized by the colors of the Riders’ Land textures.
MWC PADEL ARENA: SATURDAY AND SUNDAY COURTS OPEN On Saturday and Sunday, for the entire duration of the program on the track, the courts of the MWC Padel Arena will be open to the public present on the circuit, with the possibility of booking on site and renting rackets and balls.
GRT GYTR PRO SHOP YAMAHA As always, the fans’ experience is not limited to the spectacle of the track, but to all the proposals that also come from the MWC Square where the new GRT GYTR Pro Shop Yamaha is fully active. It is a space where it is possible to become familiar with the Yamaha Supersport series to put on the track, or to customize them. The Pro Shops offer the expertise of Superbike technicians, ready to give advice and advice on setting up the bikes.
